It is with great sadness that the family of the late Percy Burton Sr. announce his passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital on Monday March 10th 2014 at the age of 88 years. He will be sadly missed by his children: Lawrence “Larry” Burton of Stephenville, Terry (Nicole) Burton, Port au Choix, Percy “Sonny” (Ann) Burton of Kippen’s, Richard “Rick” (Pamela) Burton of Prince Edward Island, and Joan (Eugene) Hunt of Port au Port West. Also leaving to mourn are his 7 grandchildren, 4 great-grand-children and a large circle of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Lavinia and Hubert, his brothers: Martin, Harry, Abraham, Edward, Benjamin, Hubert, his sisters: Mildred and Melina and his great-grand-daughter Annabelle. Visitation will take place on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 from Russell’s Funeral Home, 57 Prince Rupert Drive in Stephenville. Funeral Services will take place on Thursday, March 13th 2014 at 1 p.m. from Russell’s Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
