COOPER, GEORGIA MARY IRENE (ARMSTRONG) (1931 - 2014) - Georgia Mary Irene (Armstrong) Cooper, 82, widow of Rutherford Cooper, of Alma passed away peacefully on March 13th, 2014 at the Moncton Hospital with her family by her side. Georgia was born on April 11th, 1931 the daughter of the late James and Mildred (Lynch) Armstrong. She was a member of the St. Stephen's United Church. Georgia was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, her family was her main priority in life. She enjoyed playing cards, knitting, playing bingo and really enjoyed a good cup of tea. She was small in stature but had a huge heart and would do anything to help others. She leaves her family and friends with a great legacy of love and precious memories to cherish. She will live on in the hearts of her loved ones forever. She will be deeply missed by her daughters, Sharon Tower (Ronald) of Albert Mines, Arlene Haslam (Blaine) of Alma and Rhonda Rossiter (Vernon) of Alma; sons, Charles Cooper of Hillsborough, Darryl Cooper (Pam) of Alma, Kevin "Minnie" Cooper (Angel) of Alma, Terry Cooper (Shirley) of Moncton; son-in-law, Dale Cochrane of Rocky Mountain House, Alberta; her precious eleven grandchildren and treasured two great-grandchildren. She will also be missed by all her in-laws, several nieces and nephews and by all her extended family and close friends.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her beloved husband, Rutherford Cooper; son, Gary Cooper; daughters, Louise Beers and Juanita Cochrane; son-in-law, Paul Beers; grandson, Paul Cooper.
Honoring Georgia's own wishes there will be private family visitation and a graveside service will be held at the Alma United Cemetery at a later date. In Lieu of flowers donations to the Alma United Cemetery would be greatly appreciated by the family.
