The death occurred at Beach Grove Home, on Friday, March 14, 2014, of Everett Gallant, formerly of Oyster Bed Bridge, in his 89th year.
Everett was the beloved husband of Shirley (nee Gallant) and loving father of Phillip. He is also survived by his sister, Ruth Gallant; sisters-in-law, Ann Gallant, Vera Gallant, Marie Paquet, Gladys King (Wilfred), Rita Manning, Martha Flynn (Donald), Edna MacDonald and Frances Gallant; brother-in-law, Daniel Gallant; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Everett was predeceased by his parents, Moses and Ada (Kielly) Gallant; parents-in-law, Frank and Marguerite Gallant; brothers, Howard (Evelyn), Roy, Rustin, Ivan (Rose) and Rendle; sister, Doris Crump (William); brother-in-law, Lawrence Gallant; and sister-in-law, Carol MacDonald.
Resting at Central Queen's Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Road, New Glasgow, for visitation on Sunday, March 16, 2014, from 3 to 5 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Augustine's Roman Catholic Church, South Rustico, on Monday, March 17, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. Due to severe allergies, please refrain from wearing scented products. Interment later in St. Augustine's Cemetery.
