The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on March 11, 2014, of Robert John Adie of Summerside, aged 90 years. Veteran of World War II. Robert was born on August 3, 1923, in Birmingham, England, to his late parents Thomas and Gertrude (nee Butlin) Adie. Beloved husband of the late Doris Claire Adie (nee Lefebvre) and loving father of Shannon, Melanie and Cherylann. Stepfather of Robert, Michael and Linda Paquette. Also lovingly remembered by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Survived by his sister Vera Cotterill of England. Special friend Michael and special pet Wiley. Besides his parents, and wife, Robert was predeceased by his son Richard and brother Tommy. By personal request, there will be no funeral service or visiting hours held.
