( Moe ) David Maurice Brown
March 27,1947 - February 12,2014
Born in Cheverie, Hants Co; N.S.
Moe passed away peacefully at Hospice House in Kamloops ,B.C.
He was predeceased by his mother , Pearl Brown.
He is survived by his wife Barbara,brother Rodney , step father Merton Morris; daughter Kelly,
son Mark ( Ashley, granddaughter Ayla Marie) and son Robert. Also many aunts,uncles and cousins.
Moe was a gifted musician who mastered several instruments, but the guitar came to be his favourite. He was not only an instrumentalist, but an expressionist, who played with heart and soul. That is how you learned to listen as it left one moved by his vivid style of expression. Moe was awarded "Guitar Player of the Year" in 1996, 1997, and 1998 by the " Downeast Bluegrass and Old Time Music Society at Eastern Canada Bluegrass Music Awards "
Many thanks to Dr. Howie, Dr.Azad, as well as the nurses at Royal Inland Hospital ; also staff and volunteers at Hospice House where Moe spent his last hours, for care given to him.
