LeBLANC, Anastasie Anne “Tessie” – 93, Lower Wedgeport, Yarmouth Co., passed away peacefully at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital in the evening of Monday, March 17, 2014. Born on June 20, 1920, she was the daughter of Albany and Annie Boudreau of Little River Harbour. Tessie was predeceased by her husband, George Delmar LeBlanc and her oldest daughter, Gloria (David) Fairn, British Columbia. Tessie is survived by two sisters, Anna and Ina who both live in Ontario, as well as by sons, Ronald (Brenda) LeBlanc, Comeau’s Hill and Brian LeBlanc, Lower Wedgeport; daughters, Noella (Terril) Nickerson, East Kemptville, Doreen (Wayne) Newell, Plymouth and Karen (Charles) Aucoin, Dartmouth. Tessie, in her younger years, worked as a nanny and housekeeper for families in Yarmouth. She also worked at the cotton mill, and after she moved to Wedgeport, she worked at A. L. LeBlanc Fisheries and babysat young children in her home. She loved the great outdoors. She was always a happy and giving person and just loved her flower and vegetable gardens, doing most of the work herself. Family was very important to her and she always had time for everyone, family or friends. The family wants to thank everyone who took care of Tessie in her last days. Her wishes were to be cremated and there was no visitation. The funeral mass was held at Saint Michael’s Church, Wedgeport at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 29th, Msgr. Gerald LeBlanc officiated. It has been requested that there be family flowers only. Donations in her memory may be made to your favorite charity or to Saint Michael’s Church. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to H. M.
