GALLANT, JOHN - John “Jimmy” Gallant, 76, of Gallagher Street, Shediac, passed away on Monday, March 17, 2014. Born December 3, 1937 in Shediac, he was the son of the late Georges and Edmée (Gautreau) Gallant. He is survived by his loving wife, Germaine; three daughters: Annette Yates (Mark) and Corinne Della Porta (Rico) all of Brampton, ON and Jackie Boucher (Stewart) of Shediac River; one son, Paul (Sue) of Shediac; one sister, Edmée Gautreau of Moncton; four brothers: Ernest (Rosita) of Nanaimo, BC, Léo-Paul of Victoria, BC, Edouard (Andréa) of Oshawa, ON and Laurie (Anna) Gautreau of Moncton; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three sisters: Ida, Germaine and Maria; three brothers: Francis, Roger, Pat; adoptive parents: Edouard and Marie Gautreau
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac (532-3297) Visiting hours will be Wednesday, March 19, 2014 from 7 to 9 pm only. The funeral mass will be celebrated at St-Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Shediac on Thursday, March 20, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. His cremation urn will be placed at the Frenette Funeral Center Columbarium in Shediac. In memory of John, a contribution to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. Cremation and final arrangements have been entrusted with Frenette Funeral Center, Shediac.
