Peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Sunday, December 14, 2008, of John James Bowlan of Charlottetown and formerly of Scarborough, Ontario, age 77 years. Beloved partner and best friend of Barb Bowlan. John is survived by his daughter, Diane Ezard (Wayne); sons, Tom Rickerby and Donnie Rickerby (Carrie); and sisters, Theresa Gillispie (Eric) and Bernice Bowlan. He was predeceased by his wife, June Bowlan (nee Nelson); parents, John and Rose Bowlan; brothers, Walter, Harold, Victor and Earl Bowlan; baby brother, Louis; and sisters, Rita Gillispie and Marie Dayon. Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford for visitation on Wednesday, December 17, 6-9 p.m. Then transferred to Scarborough, Ontario, for celebration of funeral service.
