It is with great sadness that the family of the late Alice Hinks announce her passing on Monday, March 24th, 2014 at the Long Tern Care Unit in Corner Brook in her 90th year. She will be sadly missed by her family with fond and loving memories, children Joan (Clarence Rice), Clarence (Lorraine) both of Corner Brook, Shirley (Chris Upshall) of Bedford, Nova Scotia, Gertie (Bruce Tilley), Lavern White both of Deer Lake, Bernie (Jackie) of Corner Brook, and Todd (Ericka) of Pasadena. 15 grandchildren Dawn Rice (Kelly Hefferman), Darren Rice (Lisa Mousseau), Brad Upshall & Sum-mi, Desmond Upshall (Paulette), Mandy Upshall, Jason Tilley (Tanya Woodford), Tonya and Joe Snider, Trina and Svein Russell, TerriLynn White and Troy Reid, Trevor White and Carol Ann, Mindy and Dean Langdon, Jimmy and Beyonce Owens, Kayla Hinks, Khrysti-Lee Hinks and Danny Reid, and Ryan Hinks and Nicole Martineau. 25 great-grandchildren. Son-in-law Gary Goudie, special friends Lorraine (Rainy) Janes and the Troke family. Also a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Alice was predeceased by her husband Hughie Hinks, daughter Pamela Goudie, son-in-law Carl White, parents Elizabeth Anne & John Kennedy, brothers Mose (Lucy), Samuel (Mary), Adolph (Janet), sisters Margaret (Tom Reid), Julia Ann (Richard Walsh) and Mary (Emile Charlesbois). Visitation will take place on Wednesday at 2-4 and 7-9pm, Thursday 2-4 and 7-9pm from Parsons Funeral Home & Chapel, 63 Northmain Street Deer Lake. Funeral mass of a Christian Burial will take place on Friday at 10am. from the Immaculate Catholic Church with Father Boland officiating. Interment to follow at the family plot on Wights Road.
