BENNETT, IRENE T. - CONCORD, NH - Irene T. Bennett, 104, died March 27, 2014 at her home in Concord. Born in Hatfield Point, New Brunswick, Canada, she was the daughter of Guilford and Laura (Scribner) Reicker.
For many years she was a member of the Christian Science Church in Concord and the Mother Church in Boston, MA. For twenty years she worked at the Puritan Restaurant and the Brick Tower Restaurant for 18 years. Later she and her husband opened up Bennett Guest House at York Beach Maine, Short Sands. She and her husband also taught square dancing for many years. She was predeceased by her husband Robert W. Bennett, Sr. in 1985; and by her brother Ralph Reicker and her sister Ruth Colpitts. Survivors include her son Robert W. Bennett, Jr. of Bow; her daughter Gail P. Schatz of E. Lyme, CT; three grandchildren, Lori Rodriguez of Tucson, AZ; Leslie Covington of St Petersburg, FL and David P. Bennett of Baton Rouge, LA; and one niece Patricia Dunwoody of St John, New Brunswick.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, March 30, 2014 from 2 to 4pm and from 6 to 8pm at the Bennett Funeral Home, 209 N. Main Street, Concord. A Celebration of her life will be held on Monday, March 31, 2013 at 2pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Blossom Hill Cemetery.
