September 20, 1943 ~ March 30, 2014
Barrie Holmes, late of Gibsons, BC, was born on September 20, 1943 in Oldham, England and died March 30, 2014 at the age of 70. He is survived by his wife Lynn Solomon, sister Patricia Hill in England, brother Anton Holmes in Australia, and pet dog Skeeter.
Work required that Barrie travel the world, and he was always ready for the next adventure. He  loved his soccer team Manchester United and remained a loyal fan to the end. He and Lynn settled in Gibsons where they retired to the rural life of gardening, puttering around home and spending time exploring the Sunshine Coast.
Barrie will be lovingly remembered and missed by family, friends and his “furry” pals.
