It is with great sadness we announce the passing of PATRICK JOSEPH FITZPATRICK of Creston South on March 30th, 2014, age 71; a Stoker (RCN), Deck Hand, Sealer, Fisherman, Mate, Roughneck, Driller, Tool-pusher, Teacher and Woodsman. Patrick spent most of his working life at sea in such places as Brazil, Adriatic Sea, North Sea, Persian Gulf, Bering Sea and the North Atlantic.

Leaving to mourn are his loving wife Linda and two sons, Thomas (Melody) and Michael (Danielle); three grandchildren – Erin, James, Claire and his furry, faithful little companion, Brandi. Sisters: Mary Hickey, Mercedes Cheeseman (Jim), Margarita Power (Walter), Lenora Antle (Wayne), Bernadette Dicks (Bill), Joan Rowlands (Jerome). Brothers: Phil (Marion) and Wally. Also leaving to mourn a large circle of relatives and relatives and friends, especially Linda’s family in Nova Scotia and also his wood cutting and fishing buddy, Heber Frampton.

He was predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Elizabeth Fitzpatrick; Nephew, Trevor Cheeseman; Brothers-in-law, Gary Moulton and Graham Cowie.

The Funeral Service took place at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Marystown on Wednesday, April 2nd, at 2:00 pm. Interment followed at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery in Marystown.
