It is with great sadness that the family of the late BERNARD EDWARDS of Marystown announces his passing at Chancellor Park in St. John’s, on Saturday, March 29th, at the age of 70. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are: Wife - Janet of 47 years; Sons – Paul (Julie) of St. John’s, Dr. Scott (Kimberly) of St. John’s and Craig (Sheena) of St. John’s; Daughter – Dr. Paula (Ronnie Walsh) of St. John’s; Sisters – Marie Belle of Montreal, Emily Withers (William) of Marystown and Marion Adams (Neil White) of Change Islands; Brothers –Vincent (June) of Port Aux Basques, Alfred of Labrador City, Jim (Jennie) of Prince Edward Island, Joe (Pauline) of Marystown, John (Yvonne) of Marystown, Larry (Sheila) of Marystown and Andy (Lorraine) of Marystown; 11 Grandchildren – Joey, Jillian, Anna, Kirk, Laura, Rebecca, William, Gordon, Kathleen, Daria and Gavin; plus a large circle of relatives and friends. He was pedeceased by: Parents – Joseph & Blanche Edwards; Sister – Elizabeth Edwards; Grand-Niece – Erin Edwards; Brother-in-law – Dennis Belle.

The Mass of Christian Burial took place on Tuesday, April 1st, at 2:00 p.m., at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Marystown. Interment followed at Sacred Heart R.C. Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in Bernard’s memory may be made to The Dr. H. Bliss Cancer Care Foundation.
