Michael Francis O’Keefe (Mike) passed away suddenly at the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital in Halifax, Nova Scotia at the age of 76. Predeceased by his mother Anastasia (1988), Father Michael (1993) and sister Patricia. He leaves to mourn his wife of 52 years, Christina, his children George (Tina), Paul (Anne), Mike (Charlene) and Craig (Donna). A dear brother to his sisters, Margaret and Lucy (Foley) and brothers Edward and Patrick. Mike also leaves behind 14 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and numerous friends. A Celebration of Life will take place on 12 July 2014 at St. Teresa’s Parish in St. John’s, NL at a time to be confirmed. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke foundation of Canada, Canadian Diabetes Society or the Canadian Cancer Society. Mike will be forever remembered for his great sense of humour and jovial personality.
