It is with great sadness that the family of the late Dorothy Compagnon announce her passing on Sunday, April 6th 2014 at the Bay St. George Long Term Care Center at the age of 98 years. She will be sadly missed by her family, daughter Emily (Kevin) Cooper in Kippens, Ann Pedigo in Glasgow Kentucky, Shirley Saunders in Ottawa, Bill (Connie) Compagnon in Dartmouth NS, long time companion Sam Davis. Also leaving to mourn are 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband William in 1969, sons: Gerald in 1998, Ivan in 1965, daughter Hazel in 2005 and granddaughter Colleen Nickerson in 2006, sisters: Florence, Winnie and Annie May, brothers: Arthur, Raymond, Chesley, George and Isaac. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, April 8th 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 from Russell’s Funeral Home, 57 Prince Rupert Drive in Stephenville. Funeral service will take place on Wednesday April 9th 2014 at 2 p.m. from Russell’s Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to take place on a later date.
