­Bruce MacLane­, 55 of Dundas, ON, passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at the Hamilton General Hospital in Ontario.
Born in Hamilton, ON, but raised in MacLellan’s Brook, NS.
Predeceased by his parents Robert MacLane and Doreen MacLane-Fraser.
Bruce in his teen years enjoyed running. He would often run to and from work at the Peter Pan Motel, where he was a lifeguard. Bruce had a free, fun loving spirit, he brightened every room he entered. Bruce had a love of animals large and small. Bruce was a well known harness racing owner, trainer/driver with many wins to his credit. He raced at every track in the Maritimes, Newfoundland as well as Ontario. His knowledge and love for horses was second to none.
Bruce is survived by his siblings: David, Brian, Eleanor, Blaine, Angela and Bobby.
Bruce was a loving father and is survived by his children: Laurlea MacLane, Halifax, NS; Tristan MacLane, Dundas, ON; Abie MacLane, Dundas, ON; Adrianna MacLane, Milford, NS and his grandchildren: Skye, Brooklyn and Jonah from Halifax, NS
He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
A graveside service for family will be held at MacLellan’s Brook Cemetery at a later date.
