Morton, Emma Viola May - 99, of Berwick formerly of Lakeville, passed away peacefully Saturday April 5, 2014 at Grand View Manor, Berwick. Born in Centreville, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Maude (Schofield) Langille. Emma was involved in her community and was a long time active member of the Women’s Institute of Lakeville. She enjoyed knitting, baking and gardening. Emma was a loving mother and grandmother; she will be missed and fondly remembered by all of those who cherished her. She is survived by son, Kenneth (Brenda), Woodville; six grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren. Besides her parents, Emma was predeceased by her husband, George Morton; son, Gerald; daughter, Shirley Cameron; granddaughter, Kim; special friend, Allan Cuthbertson; sister, Dorothy Kynock; half sister, Florence Lake; half brother, Lawrence Langille; step sisters, May Reid, Ont., Kathleen Pineo and Elsie Pineo, both of Auburn. A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 11th at Serenity Lindsay Annapolis Valley Funeral Home, Berwick Chapel (902-538-9900). Rev. Sarah Scott officiating. Interment will take place at a later date in Lakeville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory may be made to a charity of choice.
