Joan Mary Dennison

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Joan Mary Dennison (nee Outram), announce her passing on April 6, 2014, at the Notre Dame Bay Memorial Health Centre in Twillingate at the age of 82 years. Predeceased by her husband Dr. Alfred H. Dennison in 1978, and her parents William and Helen Outram. Left with a lifetime of wonderful memories are her loving sister: Margaret Outram, England, her children Helen (Keith Walker), John (Katherine) and her grandchildren, Alex, Tyler, Andressa and Peter, whom she loved dearly. Also leaving a larger circle of family and friends throughout both Canada and the United Kingdom. At Joan's request, cremation has taken place with Memorial Service and interment to take place on Saturday, May 10th at 2pm at St. Peter's Anglican Church in Twillingate. The family will be receiving friends at Isles Funeral Home, 2 Whitehome's Hill in Twillingate on Friday, May 9th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A very special thank you to Dr. Popaduik, Dr. Melvin, Dr. Duggan, Dr. Ravalia, Dr. Keough, and Cathy Cahill for your skill, dedication, compassion and support. Also, thank you to the staff of the Notre Dame Bay Memorial Health Centre and all of her friends who took such good care of Mom during her final days. We will always be grateful to you for making such a difficult time easier. At this special time, we would like to thank the wonderful people of Twillingate who welcomed our parents to the island and made it a home to them for all of these years; your kindness and generosity will never be forgotten. As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Notre Dame Bay Memorial Hospital Auxiliary (P.O. Box 133, Twillingate, NL, A0G 4M0) or the Alfred H. Dennison Foundation - Family Medical Emergency Travel Fund (P.O. Box 37, Twillingate, NL, A0G 4M0).
