WAY, Mary (Barnes)– Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at the Loch Lomond Villa, Mary (Barnes) Way, aged 98 years. Mary was born at Champneys West, Trinity Bay, Newfoundland, and was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Jesse Way, her son Stanley Way, three sisters Elizabeth, Alfreda and Evelyn and two brothers John and Howard. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Mary leaves with loving memories her daughter Bessie Bradshaw (Allan) of Quispamsis; her daughter-in-law Adeline Way of Edmonton, Alberta; grandchildren: Susan Nichol (Desmond) of North Bay, Ontario, Sandra Goguen (Dominic) of Mississauga, Ontario, Stephen Way, Stephanie Tocheniuk, Kelvin Zerebeski and Randy Chamzuk, all of Edmonton; great-grandchildren: Alison, Kimberley, Brandon, Sabrina, Joel and Kaitlyn, several nieces and nephews and many friends. Visitation will be held from Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave. from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, December 21, 2008. Mary’s funeral service and burial will take place in St. John’s, Newfoundland on Monday, December 22, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. from Barrett’s Chapel, however remembrances to the Loch Lomond Villa Foundation would be appreciated by the family, and may be made through Brenan’s Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) or online at www.brenansfh.com The family would like to thank the staff of the Loch Lomond Villa for all the loving kindness and wonderful care given to Mary over the past five years.
