SHADDICK, WILLIAM "BILL" - The death of Mr. William “Bill” Clifford Wilson Shaddick devoted husband of Bertha (Williston) Shaddick of Miramichi, NB, occurred on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at his residence at the age of 82. Born in Trout Brook, NB, he was the son of the late Clifford and Muriel (Bryenton) Shaddick. Bill was a member of St. James and St. John United Church, was a self-employed Truck Driver before working for Burchill’s and Anderson’s Mills. He enjoyed walking, gardening, volunteering at his church and took great pride in his car but most important was his family. Bill was a loving father to six daughters: Brenda Dunnett (Sheldon) of Whitney, NB; Sandra Bradley (Paul) of Bedford, NS; Barbara Myshrall (Chris) of Saint John, NB; Beth Connors (Tim) of Riverview, NB; Sharon Simpson (Daryl) of Nordin, NB; Shelley Connell (Stephen) of Newcastle, NB; one son: Darren (Belinda) of Strathadam, NB; two sisters: Barbara Underhill (Robert) and Muriel Tozer (Glen) all of Miramichi, NB; four brothers: Harry (Shirley) of Miramichi, NB; Edward; Winston (Linda) all of Douglasfield, NB; Glenn (Charlene) of Sunny Corner, NB; grandchildren: Nathan (Jessica) and Evan Dunnett, Kaitlin and Thomas Bradley; Jacob, Jeremy and Robyn Myshrall; Sarah and Olivia Connors, Eric and Matthew Simpson; Emily and Abbey Connell; Jared and Owen Shaddick and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Bill is predeceased by: one brother: Leslie and sister in law: Marilyn Shaddick.
The family will receive visitors at Bell’s Funeral Home on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. The Funeral Service will be held from St. James and St. John United Church, Newcastle on Tuesday at 11 AM with Rev. John Fraser officiating. Burial will take place in the Miramichi Cemetery later in the spring. In Bill’s memory, donations may be made to the Miramichi Food Bank, NB Extra Mural Program or to a memorial of one’s choice.
