CHAFE, Percy John — Passed peacefully away after a courageous battle with cancer surrounded by his family. Percy John Chafe, aged 74 years. Predeceased by parents: Gardener and Viola Chafe; sisters: Brenda Kennedy; Anne Stafford; brothers: Leland and Harry. Leaving to mourn wife: Lena (nee Ryan); sons; Harry (Margie), Paul (Maureen) and Percy; daughter: Anne; grandchildren: Holly, Alexander, Nicole, Jessica, Justin and sister: Marjorie Coughlan as well as many other relatives and friends. Cremation has taken place. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave. on Monday, Dec. 22 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from St. George’s Anglican Church, Petty Harbour on Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2008 at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Cemetery, Petty Harbour.
