(October 10, 1942 - April 19, 2014) Passed peacefully away at the age of 71 in the presence of her family at Saint Luke's, following a courageous battle with cancer. Sylvia was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Predeceased by infant daughter Karen, mother Olga, father Ashton and brother Clinton. Left with cherished memories are: sons, Karl (Dawn) and Paul (Tammy); grandchildren Shane (Vanessa), Aaron, Heather (Josh), Paul, Morgan and Abigail; brother Wally (Laura); sister Daphne; sister-in-law Linda; close friends Vanessa, Yvonne, Liz, Kay and Linda; special aunts Violet Ruby and Valda Williams; along with a number of other relatives and friends. Special thanks to Reverend Lynn Courage and the entire staff of Saint Luke's for filling her final days with warmth, thoughtfulness and dignity. Your innumerable acts of kindness will never be forgotten.
