VERSPYCK, PATRICIA - Patricia June Verspyck (née Hazen), 78, of Newburyport, MA passed on at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston on April 7, 2014. Born in Saint John, NB on June 2, 1935, she resided in Duck Cove and attended Saint John High School. She then attended The University of Edinburgh and McGill graduating in 1957. She was active throughout her life and helped found the Center for Hope in Darien, CT for the benefit of cancer patients. Surviving her are her husband, Ted Verspyck, of Newburyport, MA, her children Johan (Jay), Jillian, Nicole, and Chipman Verspyck, as well as ten grandchildren, and sisters Sandra Turner of St. Andrews, NB and Jane Tarn of Fredericton, NB.
A celebration of her life will be held on April 24, 2014 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Newburyport.
