Vera Annie Kilcup, age 84, of Windsor, Hants County, passed away on Monday, April 21, 2014, in the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born on November 30, 1929, in Milford Station, Hants County, Nova Scotia, she was a daughter of the late John and Mary (MacHardy) Fraser, and was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Vera was formerly employed with the Avonside Motel, Falmouth, for several years and had also worked at Avon Foods, Port Williams, for 17 years retiring in 1981. Vera is survived by her sons, Charles “Charlie” Fraser, Mississauga, Ont.; Allan (Muriel) Fraser, Windsor; Donald “Donnie” (Diana) Fraser, Hamilton, Ont.; grandson, Michael Fraser, Windsor; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, John and Mary (MacHardy) Fraser ; she was predeceased by her husband, Lewis Judson Kilcup (1993); sisters, Belle Fraser and Evelyn McGuire; brothers, Jack, George, and Roy Fraser. A graveside service was held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 25, 2014, in the Centre Falmouth Cemetery, Town Road, Falmouth. The Rev. Garnet Parker officiated. Donations in Vera’s memory were requested to be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
