CRAVEN
On February 11, 2014, Ida Craven left this earth to continue on her journey, just short of her 98th Birthday. Her life is celebrated by her 3 children: Kathleen Power (Ken) - Moose Jaw, Tom Craven (Sylvia) - Tyndel, BC and Marnie Metke (Don) - Windsor, NS; 8 grandchildren: Gary Power (Michelle) - Moose Jaw, Karen Spencer (Brad) - Sherwood Park, AB, Robert Power (Lorinda) - Regina, Kirsten Craven (Gerry) - Vancouver, Meaghan Craven (Paul) - Thrums, BC, Callie Craven (Steve) - Lethbridge, AB, Quinten Metke (Rosemary) Westport, CT, and Jolanne Metke (Sean) - Upper Brooklyn, NS; 15 great-grandchildren will be reminded of and told stories about their Great Grandma. She will also be remembered by countless nieces and nephews, one brother, Campbell Casswell – Saskatoon, brother-in-law Al Bock of Saskatoon, and sisters-in-law Lenore Cousins - Saskatoon, Mardelle Robson (Jack) - Lanigan, and Doris Craven – Cranbrook, BC. She is remembered for her tireless service to others and her infinite love for her family, as well as her quirky sense of humor and fun. The family is grateful, beyond words, for the loving care given by the staff of Extendicare Moose Jaw. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Zion United Church, 423 Main Street N, Moose Jaw on Tuesday April 29th at 2:00 PM. Reverend Doug Hallman will officiate, assisted by Reverend Walter Farquharson. Rebekah Lodge Rites will be conducted. Interment will take place in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, North Battleford. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to the CNIB, 2550 Broad St., Regina, S4P 9Z9. In living memory of Ida, a memorial planting will be made by W.J. Jones & Son Funeral Home.
