
Emma Teresa MacWilliams
The death occurred at Margaret Stewart Ellis Home, O’Leary, on Saturday, April 26, of Emma Teresa (Mills) MacWilliams, age 91, wife of the late Boyd.
Born July 17, 1922, on Valley Road, Cumb Co., N.S., she was the daughter of the late Oscar and Elva (Brown) Mills.
Loving mother to her daughters: Sherran Brink (Holland), Linda (Don) Acker and Heather (Don) Cross of Sackville, N.S.; and son, Brian MacWilliams, Charlottetown. Dear grandmother to Ken Acker, Tracy (Greg) Acker-Canning, Ellen and Brian Brink, Jason Brison and six great-grandchildren.
Emma taught school in Nova Scotia before she married her late husband, Boyd MacWilliams, where they lived and farmed on Trout River Road. She was active in WI, UCW, taught 4-H sewing, Community School and shared her baking with all. While they were well they enjoyed travelling, friends, family and dancing.
Predeceased by her husband; an infant daughter, Connie; sisters: Bertha, Vesta and Pearl; and brothers: Dean, Don and Craig.
Resting at the Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O’Leary, with visiting hours Tuesday, April 29, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service on Wednesday, April 30, at 1:30 p.m. in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to follow in Bloomfield United Church Cemetery.
