Peacefully at Dr. John M. Gillis Memorial Lodge, Belfast, of Stewart Donald MacKenna, formerly of Victoria Cross and Montague, husband of the late Frances Ruby (MacLeod) MacKenna, occurred on Saturday, April 26, 2014.
Born February 18, 1921, he was a son of the late Harry and Margaret (MacKenzie) MacKenna.
Stewart is survived by his children, Jimmy, Donna, Ann MacKenna; sisters, Katherine Annear, Ruth Nelson; cherished grandchildren, Evan MacKenna, Terri Ann MacKenna, Stephanie Smith; nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and wife, he was predeceased by brother, William MacKenna; sister, Margaret Aitken; brothers-in-law, Harold Annear, Leland Nelson; and nephew, Donald Ross.
Resting at Ferguson Logan Montague Funeral Home, with visiting on Tuesday, April 29, 2014, from 6 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 30, 2014, at 2 p.m., from the funeral home chapel. Interment to take place in Lower Montague Cemetery.
