Peacefully, and surrounded by his family, at the Garden Home, Charlottetown, on Saturday, April 26, 2014, of Leith Dickieson of New Glasgow, P.E.I., age 85.
Leith was the loving father of Norma, Ian (Janet Lester) and Kevin; grandfather of Lindsay, Dale (Lyndsey) and Ellan; and Sarah and Tyler; and great-grandfather of Jackson and Cole. He is also survived by his daughter-in-law, Rosemary MacKenzie; sisters-in-law, Joyce Coles (Keith) and Audrey Ling; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Phyllis (nee Ling); daughter, Janet; parents, Percy and Annie (Bulman) Dickieson; sisters, Ethel Bagnall (Reagh) and Alice Ling (Borden); brother, Roy (Esther); brother-in-law, Norman Ling; sister-in-law, Gwennyth Ling; and his nephews, Dana Dickieson and Kenneth Ling.
Resting at Central Queen’s Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Rd., New Glasgow, for visitation on Tuesday, April 29, 2014, from 6 to 9 p.m. Prince of Wales Lodge #18, Wheatley River, will hold a service of remembrance at the funeral home on Tuesday at 9 p.m. The funeral will be held at New Glasgow Christian Church on Wednesday, April 30, 2014, at 2 p.m. Interment in New Glasgow Cemetery.
