The death occurred peacefully, with family by her side, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, on Saturday, April 26, 2014, of Anita Griffin (nee Doiron), beloved wife of Brendon, of Cornwall, age 65.
Anita was the cherished mother of Scott (Kelley) and Louis; and grandmother of Eric and Nathan. She is also survived by her mother, Helen Doiron (nee Peters); brothers and sisters, David (Joan), Imelda Gallant (Justin), Earl (Marlene), Roy, Janet (Bruce), Ian, Vernon (Trish), Carl (Donna), Judy Gauthier (Glenn), Claire Matheson (Roger) and Leon (Sylvia); her mother-in-law, Mae Griffin; sisters and brothers-in-law, Louise Turner, Wilfred Griffin (Anne), Raymond Griffin (Shirley), Leonard Griffin (Eileen), Colleen Coady (Brian), David Griffin (Pauline), Lorne Griffin and Leo Peters; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
She was predeceased by her father, Edward Doiron; brothers, Donald (in infancy) and Allan; her father-in-law, Louis Griffin; and sister-in-law, Sheila Peters.
Resting at Central Queen’s Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Rd., New Glasgow, for visitation on Monday, April 28, 2014, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, Cornwall, on Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at 11 a.m. Interment in St. Anne’s Cemetery, Emyvale.
