Percy Keith Stiles
It is with great sadness that the family of Percy Keith Stiles age 58 of Tyndal Road, Amherst announce his sudden passing on Sunday, April 27, 2014 at home.
Born in Amherst, he was a son of the late Silas and Audrey (Tucker) Stiles.
In his younger years Percy worked at Atlantic Wholesalers in Amherst and since 1979 was employed at IMP Amherst. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, gardening and working on his hobby farm. Percy loved music and dancing and spending time with his grandchildren.
He will be sadly missed by his children John Stiles (Melissa) and Alissa Stiles of Amherst and Mary Stiles (Mike) of Oxford and their mother Christine, grandchildren Kahli, Sawyer, Molly “Seirra”, Hunter, Jenna and Zachary. Percy is also survived by sisters Joan (Maynard) Carter of Amherst, Marjorie (Albert) Cuvilier of Halifax, Doreen (Brian) Seamen of Oxford and June (Charlie) Weeks of Pugwash, brother Silas (Myrna) Stiles of Midgic, NB, his aunt Lila Miller of Amherst and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Percy was predeceased by an infant brother Ronald.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 from 3:30 to 5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Campbell’s Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst, NS. (902-667-9906)
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Campbell’s Chapel with Rev. Byron Corkum officiating.
Interment will take place at a later date in the Amherst Cemetery.
Memorial donations in Percy’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia, Kidney Foundation of Canada or the Canadian Cancer Society.
