Peacefully at Colville Manor, Souris, on April 28, 2014 of Merlin MacDonald, age 84, formerly of Morell, devoted husband to Kay (Mallard) MacDonald.
Born February 18, 1930, son to the late Andrew and Mary (Hanning) MacDonald.
Merlin is also survived by his loving children, Heather (Kerry) Coulterman, Blair (Janie) MacDonald, Clayton (Evelyn) MacDonald, Brian MacDonald, Lynn MacDonald, Jacinta (Chris) Collings; sisters, Juanita (Frank) Lechowick, Edna McKenna (late husband Andy); brother, Donald (Pat) MacDonald; brother-in-law, Clarence (Sabina) Mallard; seven cherished grandchildren, five cherished great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his parents; sisters, Irma MacDougall (late husband Bob), Bernice Kelly (late husband Lornie); brother, Butch MacDonald (late wife Jean); in-laws, Garfield Mallard (late wife Judy) and Emma Anderson.
Resting at Church Of The Little Flower, Morell, with visiting hours on Thursday, May 1, 2014, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 2, 2014, at 10:30 a.m., from Church Of The Little Flower, Morell. Interment to take place in the parish cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Colville Manor Resident Activity Fund, Souris, would be appreciated.
