Baird, Lorraine, 72, of Londonderry, passed away peacefully, April 27, 2014 at home. Born in St. John’s, NL, she was the daughter of the late Charles Pearce and Dorothy Wheeler. Aside from her parents, Lorraine was predeceased by her husband Warrant Officer H. Basil Baird, brother Charlie Pearce, and step-father Ralph Wheeler. She is survived by her children Heather (Terry) Crowe, David Baird, Michelle (Jim) Baird-Foley, Keith (Christina) Baird and Paul (Anna) Baird; sister, Arlene Penney; many nieces and nephews; loving grandmother to 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; special friends Clarence and Laura Greene, who will always be considered family. Visitation will be held from 1pm until 3pm, Thursday, May 1 at the Colchester Community Funeral Home, Willow St., Truro followed by a graveside service at 4pm at Middle Road Cemetery, Middle Rd., Debert.
