SMITH, Cyril Rayfield– (April 20, 1926) Passed peacefully away in the presence of his loving family on December 17, 2008 at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital. Predeceased by his wife Maria Smith. Leaving to mourn his sad loss are his daughters: Linda (Kenneth) Lynch, their children: Rodney and Charlotte, Barbara Soper, her children David and Michael (Tina) in Ontario, Lorraine (Stephen) Jackson, their children Nicholas and Rebecca, Charlotte (Kenneth) Ivey in Alberta, their child Julia and one son Derrick (Elizabeth) in Ottawa, their children: Lexley, Benjamin and Dallas and Derrick’s son Derek; also their mother Olive Smith and brothers-in-law: William and Maxwell Fry; mother-in-law Blanche Morgan; step-children: Stan, Brenda and their families; sisters: Elizabeth Gibbons, Shirley (Boris) Jensen, Susie Sinyard, Kay Smith, Ada Supan in the US; brothers: Robert (Mazie) and Phillip (Janet) in Calgary, also a large number of nieces and nephews and great-grandchildren. Visitation to be held from Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on December 19, 2008 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and December 20, 2008 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Funeral service to take place on December 20, 2008 from Barrett’s Chapel at 2:30 p.m. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Dr. H.
