In peace and comfort, Jack passed away on Wednesday evening, April, 30, 2014, with his son George at his side.
Son of the late Ruth and Johnny Williams, jeweller. Survived by his wife, Frances (Tuplin); children, Susan Young (Dick), Bob, and George (Yolanda). Jack had nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Survived by sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Myrna and Don Chapman; daughter-in-law, Lorie Whitmee; and son-in-law, Brent Jarvis.
Predeceased by son, Rick, in 2010; daughter, Betty Jarvis, in 2011; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Jean and George Tuplin; and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Georgie and Al Nunn.
Jack enjoyed baseball and hockey and was the owner and trainer of several costly and slow-moving race horses. He greatly valued the long lasting friendships which he enjoyed from the horse racing industry.
Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home from where the funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday at 3:30 p.m. Visiting hours on Monday from 12:30-3:15 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation.
