RHYNO, Heather Jeanette (nee Crocker) - 55 (March 14, 1959- April 27, 2014). Heather passed away in Hamilton, Bermuda of a massive heart attack. She was born in Markland, Newfoundland to Henry and Edna Crocker (Harnum). She was a beloved sister to Wanda (Roland) Pinsent; Dwight (Carolyn) Crocker; and Fronnie (Joe) Veley. Heather married Gerald (Gerry) Rhyno on October 3rd, 1992. She loved working with senior citizens at New Beginnings Seniors Residence and did private care as well. Working with seniors was one of the main joys of her life. She was an active soldier in the Salvation Army. She loved singing and serving the Lord. Heather was a deeply loving person who showed her generous nature as she fluttered from person to person like a hummingbird passing on love, compassion and hugs- but especially her hugs. In addition to her parents and siblings, Heather is survived by her loving husband, Gerry; stepchildren, Heidi (Tim) Newell; Hannah (Sebastien) Milot; and Patrick (Lise Melanson) Rhyno; grandchildren, Kiersten, Kate, Aidan, Sam, Erin and Isaiah; as well as nephews, Kenneth, Kevin and Steven; niece, Jessica; and aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Scripture: II Corinthians 5:6-10. 6 Therefore we are always confident and know that as long as we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord. 7 For we live by faith, not by sight. 8 We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord. 9 So we make it our goal to please him, whether we are at home in the body or away from it. 10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad. A celebration of Heather’s life was held Monday, May 5th, 2014 at the Yarmouth Salvation Army Community Church on 103 Brunswick St, Yarmouth, NS at 2 p.m., Major Peter and Janice Rowe officiated. Interment followed in Yarmouth Mountain Cemetery. Reception followed in the Salvation Army Fellowship Room. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Yarmouth Salvation Army Community Church or a special fund to purchase a much needed van for the Raetown Salvation Army in Kingston, Jamaica.
