Passed peacefully away on Friday, May 2, 2014 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Rosena Edmonds in her 87th year. She will be lovingly remembered by her two sons: Wayne Edmonds (Gloria), Mt. Moriah, Dion Edmonds (Karen), Ottawa; grandchildren: McKenzie Edmonds and Emily Edmonds; special nephew, Jeff and family; sisters: Vernice Alley (Cecil), St. Davids, Alvina Matchim, Jeffrey’s; sister-in-law, Clara Fillatre, Stephenville; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Bruce Edmonds, in 2005; parents, Charles & Margaret Pike; and special nephew, Kenneth Edmonds; sisters: Kathleen Hulan (Percy), Lorice Lomand (Edgar); brothers: Adrian Pike (Rose), Kevin Pike (Ann), Herman Pike (Jane); brothers-in-law: Steve Edmonds (Phyllis), Ellis Edmonds, George Matchim; sister-in-law, Catherine Gosse (Walter). The funeral service will be held on Monday, May 5th at 2:00 p.m. from St. Mary’s Anglican Church, Curling Street, Reverend Rosemary Payne officiating; followed by the interment at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street, on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. As ­expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or memorial ­donations may be made to St. Mary’s Anglican Church Memorial Fund.
