McCARTHY, ALMIRA - 1916 - 2014 - Almira McCarthy, of Dieppe passed away peacefully at Residence du Marais on May 3, 2014, at the age of 97. Born in Cap-Pele, NB, she was the daughter of the late John William and Mary Brine. She worked as a nurse for over 40 years, loved animals especially her faithful dog Babette. Almira enjoyed bowling and spending time with her family and friends. A special thanks to all the staff at the Residence du Marais for all the tender loving care she received. Appreciation and gratitude go to a very special person and friend Marcia Brine. Almira is survived by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Edward Joseph McCarthy, sisters; Alma, Louisa, Laura, Marceline, and Lorraine, brothers; Edward, Joseph, Yvon, Henri and Albert and by two nephews.
