HAMM, SHAWN - It is with great sadness the family announces the unexpected death of Shawn Albert Hamm (Hammy), of Saint John, who passed away at home, on May 2, 2014. Born, September 3, 1980, in Saint John. He is the son of Linda Hamm and the late Albert Perry. He was previously employed at Ceda International Corp., in Edmonton, Alberta. Shawn enjoyed all aspects of the outdoors including: swimming, fishing, dirtbikes, frisbee, and football. He most enjoyed spending time with his son, Braden, his “Best Bud” who was his pride and joy and he loved very much. In addition to his common-law partner, Allison O’Brien and her parents Elizabeth and Paul O’Brien, he is survived by his children Braden and Caressa, both of Saint John, as well as siblings Alisha (Dave), Mary and Joel, Kathleen, Doreen and Melvin, his best friends Kevin and Amanda.
Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Monday , May 5 from 6 to 8 PM, and Tuesday, May 6 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. A funeral liturgy will be held at Brenan's Chapel, 2014, Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at 12:00 noon. Interment will take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery on Thursday, May 8 at 2:00 pm.
