We, the family of the late Pearl Simmons would like to express our gratitude for the support of family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers during our great loss . To all who brought food, sent cards of condolences, phone calls and messages. To those who made charitable donations in Pearl’s memory, we appreciate your thoughtfulness. Special thanks to Dr. Archibald and Dr. Butler. Thank you to the wonderful and caring nurses of 4D, IMCU and Recovery at the Regional Hospital and the Glace Bay Hospital, thank you to Dr. Gallivan and Dr. S. Ellerker and the staff of 3 South. We would like to thank Lt. Joshusa Downer of the Salvation Army for his visit to the house and for the wonderful service to celebrate Pearl’s life. Thank you to Fred Courtney for his support and being part of the service. Special thank you for the ministery of music by Lt. Downer with two of Pearl’s favorite hymns. Thank you to Pearl’s granddaughters Beverly, Lynn, Sherri and Nicole and grandson Brian for being Nannie’s pallbearers. Special thank you for the beautiful tribute to Nannie by granddaughter Beverly, I’m sure Nannie was so proud. To the staff of Patten Funeral Home for their professional direction and kindness.
