Passed peacefully away at Carbonear General Hospital on Sunday, March 16, 2008, of Bay Roberts, aged 94 years. Predeceased by parents Thomas and Ella Mercer (nee Baggs), wife Ethel N. Mercer (nee Norman), brother Maxwell Mercer, grandson Delson Menchions. Leaving to mourn sons: Everett (Cavell) Mercer, Graham (June) Mercer; daughter Cavell (Harry) Menchions; grandchildren: Tony (Katrina) Mercer, Nadine (Stephen) Crocker, Renee (Jason) Carlson, Roger (Robin) Mercer, Delbert (Kate) Menchions, Danny Menchions; great-grandchildren: Gavin and Jarod Mercer, Benjamin and Alexander Crocker, Ashton, Braedon and Payton Carlson, Devon, Ryan and Tanner Menchions; and other nephews and nieces. Resting at Moore's Funeral Home, Bay Roberts. Visitation Monday 2 p.m. - 5 p.m., 7 p.m. - 9 p.m., Tuesday 10 a.m. - 12 noon. Funeral service to take place on Tuesday, March 18, 2008 at 2 p.m. from St. Matthew's Anglican Church, Coley's Point. Interment in the St. John the Evangelist Anglican Cemetery, Coley's Point.
