John (Jack) Francis Hann

17 January, 1930 - 8 May, 2014. John (Jack) Hann left this world peacefully on May 8th, 2014 at Chancellor Park Nursing Home at the age of 84 years. Jack is predeceased by his loving wife Thora (Wareham), his parents - Matilda and Denis, sisters - Lena (Gus), Bertha (Jim) and Ann (Cyril) and brother - Norbert (Mercedes). Jack is survived by his former wife Ann and their children - David (Paula), Curtis (Rhonda) and Jeff (Laura); grandchildren - Emily, Josh, Jason, Tyler and Dennis; siblings Molly, Anita, Triffie (Jack), Father Michael, Rita (Blake), Bernice (Stan), and Ken (Ann Marie); and a large group of nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. A special thank you for the support and care offered him at Tiffany Village and during the short period of time he resided at Chancellor Park Nursing Home. Special mention to Jack's sister, Molly, and his brother-in-law, Alfred Wareham, for attending to Jack in his final years. Jack was born in Port Royal, Placentia Bay and spent his early years working on the many boats that serviced the coastal communities of Newfoundland and Labrador. He later joined the military and served with distinction for 26 years with the Royal Canadian Air Force, including several foreign postings. Funeral services will take place at Caul's Funeral Home, on 84 LeMarchant Road. Visitation is Monday from 2 to 9 pm, Tuesday from 11 am to 3 pm, after which cremation to take place. Mass will be celebrated at St. Teresa's Church, Mundy Pond Road on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at 9:30 am. Inurnment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery on Kenmount Road.
