It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one, Hayward Alexander Howell age 84 years of Pound Cove on May 7, 2014 at Brookfield Hospital., Brookfield. Predeceased by his wife; Betty, parents; Baxter and Theresa Howell, brother; Harry, sisters; Cicely and Vera. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his 4 sons; Randy (Donna) of St. Philips, Bill of Brampton, Ont, Gordon (Helen) of Valleyfield, Jerry (Nancy) of St. John’s, 2 daughters; Marilyn (John Dowden) of Gambo, Janice (Dennis Whalen) of Fort McMurray, Alberta, sister; Nerissa Winsor residing at Bonnews Lodge, Badger’s Quay, sister-in-law; Susie Butt residing at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home, St. John’s, 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, special friend and companion ; Ann Green , her three daughters; Phyllis, Sharon , Bonnie and families and a large circle of other relatives and many friends. Funeral service was held on Sunday May 11, 2014 at the United Church, Templeman with Rev. Desmond Jagger-Parsons officiating. Inurnment followed at the United Church Cemetery, Pound Cove.
