December 8, 1928 - May 9, 2014 - Passed away gently and peacefully on Friday, May 9th 2014 at the Carbonear General Hospital, Harry March of Green's Harbour, aged 85 years. Pre-deceased by his parents: Jesse and Sarah -Jane March; parents-in-law, Simeon and Laura Jackson, grandson, Richard Brace, great-grand-daughter Jenna Brown. Leaving to mourn are his wife Myra; his children Vivian (John), Charlie (Karen), Carolyn (Ellis), Sharon (Roy), Jesse (Elaine), Rox-Ann (Windsor); his grand-children, Jason, Jennifer, Andrew, Laura, Patricia, Jeffrey, Sonya, Daniel, Jennifer, Michael, Janice, David, Jonathan and Neal and his seventeen great grand-children; his siblings; Pearl (Walter, deceased), Nita (Richard, deceased), Fred (Marie), Hubert (Daphne), Lorraine (Fred), Glenys (Lew), Sandra (Don), as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. Harry was a loving and devoted son, husband, father, grand-father and great grand-father. In his early years, Harry worked as a fisherman with his father and grand-father, then as a Forest Ranger for the Ministry of Agriculture, Mines and Resources. Harry was a member of the Orange Young Britons, a Red Cross member of the Black order of the Orange Society and a District Deputy Grand Master of Canada. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive condolences in person at Warren's Funeral Home, Dildo on Monday, May 12th 2:00 - 5:00 and 6:00 - 9:00 pm. A service to celebrate Harry's life will be held on Tuesday, May 13th 2014 at Faith United Church, Green's Harbour 2:00 pm. As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations in Harry's memory may be made to the Diabetes Association NL. The family extends their gratitude and appreciation to the staff at the Carbonear General Hospital who took such wonderful care of Harry during his final days with us.
