Williamson, Veronica Helen (nee Best) July 9, 1933 – May 6, 2014. It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Veronica (Bonnie) Williamson. She is survived by her husband Alexander (Al); five wonderful children – Monica, Joan, Philip, Paula (Raymond) and Matthew along with her precious grandchildren – Laura (Brian) Munroe, Bryan and Danny Kallal; Sean and Emma Bodarek, Emily Williamson and great grandchildren Emery and Seth Munroe. She is also survived by three brothers – Michael, Charles and John along with a number of nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her parents Percy and Sarah Best, brothers Patrick and Terrence and sister Teresa Moore. Veronica was a graduate of the Halifax Infirmary School of Nursing and worked for a number of years in Halifax and Kentville, Nova Scotia as well as in Ottawa and Edmonton. Mass of Christian Burial was held on Wednesday, May 14 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church, 210 Haddow Close. A private family interment will take place at a later date in Kentville, Nova Scotia. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Catholic Social Services or to the United Way of Edmonton.
