Our family regrets to inform of the passing of Rubin James Forbes, husband, father and grandfather and friend at the Victoria General Hospital on Thursday, May 8, 2014.
Rubin is survived by his wife Emeline (Smith); one son Jason and his children Mason, John Robert, Alexander and Logan; only daughter Sarabeth (Richie McNeil) and their son Devon; two sisters, Thersea 'Doe-Doe' Decoste (Ron) and Jane Marie (Harvey MacDonald); one brother Billy (Susan); numerous nieces, nephews and relatives across Canada.
Rubin was predeceased by his parents, Everett and Jane (Fahey) Forbes formerly from No.2 also by one brother (Hubba) Tom Forbes and Tom's daughter “G.G.”
There will be no visitation by Rubins request. Cremation has taken place. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, May 16, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Holy Cross Church. The Rev Norman MacPhee will be officiating.
