Passed away surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, May 15, 2014 at the L.A. Miller Centre, Palliative Care Unit. Imelda Emma Janes, age 70 years. Predeceased by her parents Richard and Lucy Slaney; nephew Richard Slaney and uncle Bernard Slaney. Leaving to mourn her husband Douglas and her two loving and devoted daughters Laura (Janes) and Trina (Newman); her beloved son-in-law Joey (Newman) and the two loves of her life her grandchildren Declan and Lucy (Newman); sisters Bride Shea (John, deceased), Rose Slaney, Selina Andrews (Jim), Theresa Kendall (Dave), Bernice Molloy (Jim) and Elaine Ludlow (Paul); brother Hugh Slaney (Phil) as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. At her request cremation has taken place. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Saturday and Sunday from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, May 19, 2014 at 11 a.m. from St. Teresa's Church. Inurnment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or a donation may be made in her memory to the L.A. Miller Centre, Palliative Care Unit.
