David passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family at St.Joseph's Hospital, Comox, BC, Monday, April 21, 2014. He was born in Summerside, PEI, the son of Timmy Arsenault and Beatrice (Wedge) Arsenault. David leaves to mourn his wife, Margaret, stepson Mark, sister Annette (Dallas) of Comox, BC, brothers Allison (Sharon) of Moncton, NB; Michael (Shirley) of Comox, BC and Gary(Mary) of Surrey, BC. He was predeceased by his daughter, Michelle, his parents, Timmy and Beatrice; sisters Dorothy and Betty; brothers Kenneth and Lyman. David graduated from Miscouche High School and later moved to Hamilton, Ontario where he worked for the Bank of Montreal, and American Can Company, retiring in 1996, and moved to Comox, BC. He was a man of few words, but had a heart of gold, was loved and respected by his whole family and many friends. He enjoyed sports, especially golf and going to the gym everyday. David fought a courageous battle with cancer which he faced with the help and support of his wonderful wife and family. A special note of thanks goes to sister-in-law, Shirley, R.N. for the support she gave the family over the last two months of David's life. He will always be remembered and forever missed by all. There will be a Celebration of Life for David at the Royal Canadian Legion in Comox, B.C. on May 24, 2014.
