STEVENS, JEAN IVY - It is with sorrow and sadness we announce the passing of Jean I. Stevens with her loving family at her side. She passed away peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Thursday, May 15, 2014. Born in Croydon, England, she was the daughter of the late Daisy (Bedwell) and Jack Palmer. She loved her music and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, who always put a smile on her face. Jean will be sadly missed by her children: Terry (Sue), Danny (Cecilia), Debbie, David (Janie), Sonia (Paul), and Wendy (Steve); 24 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sisters: Connie Buckley and Dorothy Adam; sister-in-law, Sonia Pye; best friend, Norma Buckley; several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many close friends. In addition to her father and mother, she was predeceased by her husband, Donald; her son, Bobby; and her brothers: John and George.
Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, 634-7424, with visiting on Monday, May 19, 2014 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at 12:00 noon from Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
