Clarence 'Clary' Michael Guthrie, 62 passed away Sunday May 18th, 2014 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
Born in Grand Manan, NB, he was the son of Mary (Leavigne) Homestead and the late James Guthrie.
He worked at the Co-op Grocery Store in Ashby.
Clary is survived by his daughters Lisa (Richard Lewis) Guthrie, Sydney and Michelle (Kevin) Rawding, Digby; sisters Camilla Brown, Hannah (Sterling) Mullen, and Daphne Foote, all of NB, Reesa Brotherton, Sask.; brothers Eric (Nina) and Mark (Pam) both of NB, Sterling (Silvia) Mercier, Michigan; grandsons Dustin and Morgan both of Sydney; the mother of his children Valerie (Comeau) Guthrie, and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother Stuart; niece Holly Green-McKeown and a nephew Shane Greene.
A family service will be held at a later date in Grand Manan, NB.
