It is with great sadness that the family of the late ROLAND YOUNG of Little Bay announces his passing at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre in Burin on Wednesday, May 14, 2014, at the age of 59. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are: Step-parents – Bernard & Patsy Hanrahan of Little Bay; Step-brothers – Jerry (Audrey) Hanrahan of Little Bay, Gordon (Wanda) Hanrahan of Calgary, AB and Bernard (Loretta) Hanrahan of Humboldt, SK; Step-nephews – Stephen Hanrahan of Fort McMurray, AB, Jordan Hanrahan (Kelly Picco) of St. John’s, Jerry Hanrahan of Little Bay, Cameron Hanrahan of Calgary, AB, and Walter (Lori) Barry Jr. of Shelburne, ON; Step-nieces – Yvonne (Kevin) Baldwin of Corner Brook, Katlyn Sheppard of Corner Brook, Jessica Sheppard of Corner Brook and Krystle Hanrahan of Humboldt, SK; Special family members: Rozalyn (Larry), Paulette (Ray), Christine, Walter (Chris), Sandy (Brian), Danielle & Halie; Special caregivers: Kathleen Cross & Alphonse Hanrahan; plus a large circle of relatives and friends from the Barry, Hanrahan & Young families. Roland was predeceased by his Foster Parents – William & Margaret Barry & Special Aunt – Ruby Barry.

The Mass of Christian Burial took place on Saturday, May 17, at 1:00 p.m., from Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church. Inurnment followed at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery in Little Bay. In Roland’s memory donations may be made to the family or flowers gratefully accepted.
